边燕杰教授《社会网络研究专题》教学大纲①(Topics in Social NetworkResearch, by Professor Yanjie Bian) 课程简介和要求(Description and Expectation) 本讲座课程的目的是为社会学研究生介绍国际前沿的社会网络研究。除了在理论上关注社会和经济互动中的人际网络外,此讲座的主题还将包括从网络分析角度研究分层、流动、组织行为、经济过程、社会资本以及中国转型经济和社会等问题。 互动式教学和主动学习的指导教师教学理念是两个原则。为做到这两点,希望同学们:①在每一专题讲授之前阅读指定的阅读材料。②在每次讲授时请提出问题和评论。③参加周五的专题讨论,各周的专题关注到解释的似合理性、理论与经验之间的争论以及如何提出将来研究的问题。④按时完成作业。⑤根据 2003 年中国综合社会调查进行分析,写出一篇课程论文,提出对社会网络研究来说有重要理论意义的问题。在课堂上还会对每周的作业和课程论文提出具体要求。 补 充阅读材料(Supplement Readings) Social Network Analysis: A Handbook, JohnScott.
